What it is
The Weepers is a story world designed from the beginning to live in more than one medium. Prose can carry the central narrative while broadcasts, audio episodes, maps, documents, websites, and physical or digital artifacts reveal other parts of the same reality.
Why Newcastle Port Pulse matters
Newcastle Port Pulse gives the project a particularly interesting storytelling surface: a real community-media identity can remain useful and genuine while selected fictional broadcasts, interruptions, archive fragments, or strange signals become part of The Weepers experience.
The goal is not to duplicate the novel as a podcast or repeat a podcast as a webpage. Each layer should reward the person who followed the story into another medium.
Current direction
The project is developing its written foundation, broadcast language, podcast possibilities, interactive geography, and a world hub that can become the canonical doorway into the story as the archive grows.
