Newcastle Port Pulse: room, hardware, and first-broadcast prep

An early progress note: the workspace was cleared, hardware setup had begun, and programming ideas were moving toward a first broadcast.

A small but important milestone: the room was cleaned and hardware setup began.

Workspace and hardware

Newcastle Port Pulse needed a physical home before it could become a repeatable media workflow. This stage focused on getting the workspace ready and beginning the equipment setup.

Programming experiments

Show concepts and interactive media ideas were also being developed for future broadcasts, with the intention of making the station feel like more than a playlist or automated information feed.

Next milestone

The immediate path was:

  1. Complete the hardware setup.
  2. Finalize the first pieces of content and media.
  3. Record and release the first broadcast.

Archive note: This entry records an early development checkpoint. The project is still pre-launch today, so this is preserved as build history rather than presented as a current status update.
