What it is
AetherOS is the umbrella for a family of experiments around local intelligence, spatial interfaces, personal knowledge, and computers that feel less like dashboards and more like environments.
It is intentionally long-term. Rather than beginning with a product category, the project begins with a design question: what would personal technology feel like if it grew around a person instead of asking the person to reorganize life around software?
Design direction
AetherOS borrows from natural systems, ambient information, place, memory, and layered environments. The aim is not to imitate leaves on a screen; it is to design systems that can be calm, contextual, interconnected, and capable of revealing complexity only when it is useful.
Current research threads
S.A.G.E. explores the local intelligence and knowledge layer. Project Sprite explores wearable and spatial access. Other experiments can join or leave the ecosystem as the underlying ideas become clearer.
AetherOS remains active R&D rather than a promised commercial product.
